TOWARDS THE END OF SEPTEMBER, what goes down in Hoenn history as the
"Ultra Beast War" or the "Three-Day War" begins. The Megalopolans commence their attack from all over Hoenn, pushing in from the seas on all fronts. They wield tamed Ultra Beasts and Hoenn wildlife to overcome the region for its resources, for their previous world is on the verge of collapse.[break][break][break]
They have been brought here for a myriad of reasons. After capturing
Balder Schwartz's Solgaleo in Megalopolis, they have used the Pokemon to guide them here; however, their discovery of Hoenn was inevitable.[break][break][break]
The incredible energies spawned by Victini's death in Mossdeep, mega and primal energies, and Jules Cotillard's mysterious experiments in Mossdeep Space Center, have made Hoenn a hot spot for Ultra Beasts and
other forces to eye it for its resources. Perhaps, someone has been attempting to reach out to the Megalopolans as well.[break][break][break]
The Megalopolans are ruthless and desperate. Their Pokemon will not hesitate to go for your characters, and they will also participate in the fight themselves. This raid will contain darker themes as it is a war, so please be advised.

LEAD-UP THREADS
YOU DO NOT NEED TO READ these threads; however, this in-character event has been in the works for a very long time.[break][break][break]

INFORMATION
WAR OF THE WORLDS is not a mandatory event. For players who would like to participate in the happenings of War of the Worlds, but avoid the dedication and rigor required for raid events, characters can participate in
Toxic Takeover events such as
Toxic Endeavors, Poison Patrol, or Toxic Takeover specific missions.[break][break][break]
The conflict between The League and the secretive Team Rocket is not central to this event; however, League and Team Rocket characters may possess objectives specific to their faction. The League will send their forces to confront with the Megalopolans; however, you may roleplay as a civilian volunteering at the risk of their own life, or someone who was unfortunately wrapped up in the conflict.[break][break][break]
The event will begin
sometime this weekend or next week. Sign-ups will last until the event begins. This raid is expected to end by
OCTOBER 31ST, 11:59PM PST, but the event's end may come earlier or later, depending on the circumstances.[break][break][break]
EVENT MECHANICS
THIS EVENT IS A RAID EVENT, meaning there will be moderator posts between rounds of posting. There is no posting order, but there are deadlines to post by, indicated within each moderator post.[break][break][break]
In order to keep things easy to read for both players and moderator,
please keep your posts short and under 350 words if possible. Furthermore, include a
TOO LONG ; DON'T READ (TL;DR) summary with each post, detailing important actions.[break][break][break]
Moderator posts this time will be
quite generalized and less personal, considering the work needed to put into three raids. In other words, not every character action will be responded to in a moderator post— but that does not mean they do not effect your other players' characters and the outcome of each round.[break][break][break]
You will only be allowed to bring
4 POKEMON with you, and each Pokemon will be allowed to perform
1 MOVE PER ROUND. Characters that are avatars are allowed to bring their avatar-related Pokemon in without taking one of the four Pokemon slots.[break][break][break]
Occasionally, you will be prompted to
ROLL in response to an obstacle or action. To roll, use the roll command (dice icon).[break][break][break]
Lastly, this event is
DEATH-ENABLED. This means your Pokemon have a chance to die, and your characters may have a chance of dying as well. However, such circumstances will always be prompted with a prior warning, allowing your character (and others) to react![break][break][break]
RAIDS
THERE WILL BE THREE RAIDS to sign up for.[break][break][break]
Each raid will feature different objectives and a different setting, which are explained below. However, things are subject to change. Please note, you can only sign up for
1 character per raid and can only participate with 2 characters max .[break][break][break]
1. LILYCOVE WARFRONT
THE MEGALOPOLANS BEGIN TO STRIKE FROM THE SEA, causing League forces to mobilize in response. Large trammels have dug into the ground of these islands and their caves, siphoning odd energies from the earth itself. This raid will feature a segment of naval battle before transitioning into an occupied island town at its finale.[break][break][break]
2. MAUVILLE WARFRONT
A MYSTERIOUS SOURCE has directed the Megalopolans to breach central Hoenn, providing the invaders with enough energy to spawn reinforcements closer to the Mauville Stronghold designated by the League. The Megalopolans seem interested in the New Mauville power plant, but your characters will be forced to rally them back in this seaside field.[break][break][break]
3. METEOR FALLS WARFRONT
METEOR FALLS IS UNDER SIEGE, for the Megalopolans seek resources embedded deep within the historic site. League forces have been deployed in the mountains to prevent the Megalopolans from breaching the caves; however, this ancient site known for its meteor showers features treacherous terrain, making combat difficult. Defend Meteor Falls and prevent the invasion from spreading deeper into the region.[break][break][break]

You
do not need to determine your Pokemon's moveset and abilities right away; however, please
lock them in before the event begins. This is done to prevent players from altering their Pokemon in response to specific obstacles in the raid and to provide creative challenges for characters to overcome.[break][break]
